  • the swimmer must be in good physical health and physically fit enough to swim in open water
  • at the moment a full Covid vaccination is required to get a visa.
    (also for non-swimmers)
We usually swim close to the beach so that it is almost always possible to get out.

Who are the coaches in the camp?
Besides me, Helga Peters from Amsterdam will be with us. She has a lot of experience in open water, and as a biologist she can give a lot of information about the numerous animals we will meet, and take away any fears we might have. We are both certified lifeguards and first aiders, and will do our best to ensure your safety.

What is the daily routine at the camp?
8.00 breakfast
9.30 Departure or start to the swimming location
12.30 Lunch at the hotel followed by rest/leisure time
15.00 Departure or start to the swimming location

These details are only a rough guide and will be adjusted on site. Participation in the swims is voluntary and can be skipped if it is too much for you. We try to get the real Oman experience and meet with locals and eat local food. It is also possible that we will join a group of local swimmers or that Omanis will join to our swims.
The camp language will be English, also the registration procedure will be in English. If you need help with this, please contact me.

All our plans are only plans and have to be adjusted on site. Much depends on the weather and other factors. So please understand if there are changes or if something cannot take place. If you have any questions in advance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you want to participate, you should book as soon to make sure there are still rooms available in the hotel. The number of places in the camp is limited to a maximum of 10 swimmers + 2 non-swimmers.
(When booking you’ll have to make a downpayment of 500€, the final payment is to make till 1st September).
